The Country We Work In
This is fruit-growing country below Mount Mee, and it stayed small until the 1980s before growing into acreage and estate housing. The shape of the district sets the shape of the work:
- Large detached homes on big blocks, with pipe runs that can cross open ground from the boundary meter to the house.
- Septic tanks and absorption trenches instead of town sewer, so the waste side of the block is part of every job.
- Hot water units fitted during the 1990s and 2000s building wave, now old enough for spent anodes and failing elements.
